As opposed to Lotus/JPS, the appeal of British American (Tobacco) Racing's Lucky Strike livery was significantly greater than the team's results on the Formula One circuit. That being said, HondaRacing/BAR did take second in the Constructors' Championship in 2004, with Jenson Button finishing third in the Drivers' Championship.
Back room machinations at the team were much uglier than their fabulous colors, which were updated slightly each season and seemed to improve every time. Unfortunately the same could not be said for HondaRacing/BAR's results, and ironically it was not until the legendary Ross Brawn purchased the team in 2008 and brought in MB as the engine supplier that the team - renamed Brawn GP - won both the Constructors' and Drivers' titles in 2009. The current incarnation is not doing too badly either.
