Not just a hair dryer setting

Not since another light haired Red Bull academy grad burst onto the scene over a decade ago has a young driver caused such a stir on the F1 circuit. Born September 30th 1997, Max Verstappen is the youngest driver to participate in a Grand Prix weekend (2014 Japan); youngest full-time driver (2015 Toro Rosso); youngest to score championship points (2015 Malaysia); and of course youngest winner at the 2016 Spanish GP.
After third place finishes in 2019 & 2020 behind you-know-who and Valtteri, Max is very much in the driver's seat (sorry) for taking his inaugural Drivers' Championship this season, potentially breaking the Mercedes hegemony of the turbo hybrid era.
No shrinking violet, Max can rub some the wrong way with his "exuberance" and confidence, but the phenom is a generational talent, the favorite driver of so many young fans, and will no doubt be World Champion very soon....
How prescient we were: introducing your 2021 Driver's Champion....
